Costa Rican Cloudscape
This is a recent painting I did from a photo my husband snapped from a bus in Costa Rica. My original vision for the painting was a bit different, but sometimes they tend to take on a life of their own don't they? I honestly think it could be stronger compositionally, but I decided to leave it as it is and maybe my next cloudscape will be more of a study in composition!

I think it has a beautiful blue-grey contrast, and compositionally, I wouldn't change a thing. PS: I saw you are a CSU alum, my stepdad is a professor there-small world.
Beautiful, Leia! I agree with the blue-grey contrast...but I really love the green trees that stand out of the blue. I like it!
I like it!

I like this as it is. Very pleasing.
I like it. It's simplistic enough to be suggestive and intriguing but the sky is incredibly realistic. Good job.
Lovely painting abd what a happy find! Reminds me a wee bit of Scotland!
I love your style. I've seen it before but very few people can pull it off. Your use of colours is especially nice. And I totally agree with you. I love to draw/paint people and their emotions. It so rewarding; one learns a lot.
