Riley in Charcoal

Riley
11.5 x 13.5
Charcoal

Here is a simple sketch of my dog, Riley.  I loved the look on his face though.  It captures his impatience and obedience perfectly.  He wasn't really in the mood to have his photo taken, but he politely obliged.

Leia,
I just happened upon your blog and found it very interesting. I would love to be able to paint or draw half a good as you. I enjoyed the write up about your uncle and your discription about Riley and how he felt when you took the photo of him. I am inspired by your paintings and if you don't mind I will peak in now and then to see what you are painting next. I paint and draw a little but not as much as I would like to. To many other activities take away from the time I would like to spend painting. I know at some point in my life I will get back to it. It is a part of my life that longs for attention. If you care I also have a blog it is spiritextreme.vox.com
Thank you for sharing your talents.

Thanks Steve for your comments! I hope you will pursue drawing and painting! I would love it if you continue to follow my blog and I will definitely check yours out! It looks like you share some similar interests as my husband (he loves jeeps, off-roading, hiking etc) Maybe that will inspire us to enjoy the outdoors more! I'm always cooped up in my art studio!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Thanks Stacy... he does look regal doesn't he?
