Underpainting

Preparing the Pineapple Fields (in progress)
8 x 10
oil on canvas

I started a new painting today of a pineapple field worker in Costa Rica. It has been on my list of photos to paint since 2005 (yikes) and I have finally decided to tackle it. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I should do a large painting of it. This is more of a study I suppose. This also gives you an idea what my underpainting looks like... pretty simple really.

I love it just the way it is! Reminds me of a wonderful trip I once took to a pineapple farm in Costa Rica - it was a little rainy that day... - Stacy
